James F. Schlucter

Senior VP National Director of Practice Management

From mid 2006 to mid 2008, James F. Schlucter was vice president of new business development of Lincoln Investment Planning, Inc., a privately-held 403(b) niche broker/dealer with over $7 billion of assets. He was a key member of the agency acquisition team and implemented a comprehensive advisor recruiting program.

Prior to that Mr. Schlucter spent more than twenty years at Copeland/CitiStreet. He joined The Copeland Companies as a financial advisor in Philadelphia in 1982 and became a district manager in 1985. In 1987, he developed and managed the advisor training program. Between 1987 and 1994, as vice president of training and development, he was responsible for both field and national office training, advisor software development and field recognition.

In 1994, he returned to the Philadelphia office as regional manager. He was promoted to regional vice president and subsequently promoted to senior vice president. Prior to the 2005 MetLife acquisition of the Retirement Services Division of CitiStreet (previously known as Copeland), he had field sales management responsibilities for seven offices and 100 advisors, serving the K-12 public education market.

Mr. Schlucter received a bachelor of science in business administration from Drexel University. He is a registered principal with FINRA. In addition to his civilian career, he served in the U.S Coast Guard Reserve for more than twenty years. Mr. Schlucter served on the advisory board of the Academy of Finance program at Howard High School in Wilmington, Delaware. He has been active with Special Olympics and in fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
