Matthew G. Riordan

Chief Financial Officer

From 2006 to 2007, Matthew G. Riordan was vice president and controller of Smith Management LLC, a privately held investment management company with assets in excess of $800 million in securities, real estate and private equity investments.

Prior to that, Mr. Riordan was senior vice president and chief financial officer at CitiStreet Associates, with responsibility for the financial management and controls of the New Jersey-based retirement group. Mr. Riordan was responsible for a 50-person accounting and finance department where he re-engineered the financial statement reporting process, established key internal control processes and led the finance team during the divestiture of the CitiStreet Associates business in preparation for its subsequent sale to MetLife Inc.

Mr. Riordan was vice president and controller in the Retirement Group at Merrill Lynch from 1997 to 2004, responsible for the consolidated financial reporting for the 401(k) group. Mr. Riordan implemented a detailed financial reporting process that included client specific P&L statements to highlight critical client relationships and opportunities for improvement.

From 1993 to 1997 he was a client coverage officer at Morgan Stanley within its Institutional Trust Group. He was responsible for executive relationships and cross-selling products to a client base with international assets in excess of $10 billion and revenues of $10 million. Prior to this position, he was a member of the internal audit group with responsibility for reviewing the firm’s internal controls.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Riordan was a staff accountant for two years with Price Waterhouse.

A native of New Jersey, Mr. Riordan received a bachelor’s of business administration degree in accounting from St. Bonaventure University and he earned his CPA in 1993.
