Mitchell I. Barnett

Prior to forming a private practice in 2004, Mitchell I. Barnett was vice president of sales for Four Seasons Securities, responsible for independent marketing organizations and distribution for the Atlanta-based firm. His role included directing local 403(b) sales and overall market development nationally for Four Seasons. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Barnett served as divisional vice president of sales for Northern Life, a Reliastar Life company, based in Seattle. In this role he oversaw more than 2000 agents and was responsible for overall mar- keting plans and strategy for the Eastern U.S. region. He recorded new sales of over $250 million annually and his agent pool’s personal client assets were in excess of $3 billion.

Previously, Mr. Barnett was instrumental in the rollout of the first TSA Equity Indexed Annuity for Life of the Southwest, Dallas, TX. He also served as a chief consultant for American Fidelity, Oklahoma City, where he developed and implemented numerous programs focusing on the company’s TSA and annuity directives. He began his management career as regional director of sales, Northern Life, Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for over 750 agents and $100 million/year of TSA sales and other production. His various industry awards include numerous top TSA and Life producer accolades.

Mitchell Barnett received his bachelor's of science degree in finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Licensed to sell securities, fixed and variable annuities, life and health insurance, he has focused on the 403(b) industry in the northeast, based in the Washington, D.C. area.
